This is a list of characters that save someone else's life at some point.

- Goku convinces Krilin not to kill Vegeta with Yajirobe's sword (Dragon Ball manga and Dragon Ball Z anime)

- Disney's Aladdin:
- Carpet saves Aladdin, Abu, and Genie's lives when the Cave of Wonders is collapsing
- Genie saves Aladdin from drowning
- Aladdin saves Jasmine from being buried alive in the sand of the giant hourglass
- Harry Potter franchise:
- Harry Potter saves Peter Pettigrew by stopping Sirius and Remus from murdering him for treason (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban); later, Harry also saves Ron Weasley by shoving a bezoar down his throat as antidote after Ron drank poisoned mead (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)

- Ron Weasley saves saves Harry Potter from drowning (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)

- Bleach:
- Byakuya saves Rukia from Gin
- Grimmjow saves Orihime from Lolly and Menoly
- Ichigo saves Rukia by borrowing her powers when she is unable to fight against Fishbone D, and then again later by stopping the Sōkyoku from executing her
- Isshin saves Kon from Grand Fisher
- Rukia saves Ichigo and his family by protecting them from Fishbone D; she later also saves Kon's life by not allowing Urahara to destroy the pill with his soul
- Jack saves Rose by performing CPR on her; Jack also saves Claire (pregnant with her son later named Aaron) and Hurley by quickly helping them escape from being crushed by a plane wing (Lost episode "Pilot: Part 1")
