This is a list of characters that save the universe at some point.

Introduced in the 1980s

• Dream and Desire convince 1,000 people to dream and rewrite the universe, otherwise it would be destroyed by the mad star (as seen in Sandman Overture)

Introduced in the 2000s

• Lucas or Dawn (the player character) saves the universe from being rewritten by Cyrus and Team Galactic (Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum)
• Team Dai-Gurren saves the universe by defeating the Anti-Spirals (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)
• Tony Stark / Iron Man and several other heroes save the universe by defeating Thanos (Marvel Cinematic Universe, as seen in Avengers: Endgame)
